Off-Ice Office : Essential Off-Ice Tools For Hockey Organizations

TTM

One of the toughest issues facing minor hockey leagues is the ability to efficiently report, assess and track suspensions to players and team officials. This stems from the complexity of properly understanding the necessary suspension as it would be influenced by many factors, such as:

  • the Code of Discipline in effect at the time of the infraction (based on jurisdiction of where game was played);
  • the supplementary Code of Discipline(s) imposed by the team's association/club, league and/or district;
  • the number of times the same or similar infraction occurred for the individual;
  • whether the infraction is for a player or team official;
  • whether other factors occurred at the same time as the infraction (i.e. Check From Behind within the last 10 minutes of a game.)

Having a central repository to store reported infractions that can immediately assess and determine the proper suspension is exactly what Suspension Reporting can do. In addition it notifies all necessary team and discipline representatives of the suspension and allows teams and discipline representatives the ability to produce reports from the central repository.
